John Ridge's Caryto des Brosses showed his class to win the Prestigious Quorn Gold Cup in style at Garthorpe on Saturday, for the second year running. Racing Education
We are running several “Riders” events at different racecourses throughout the summer where children and parents will be given a unique chance to go behind the scenes on a raceday and access areas normally restricted to the public. Children and parents will get free entry to the racecourse and once the organised activities are finished will be welcome to stay and watch the remaining races.
We are running an event at Leicester on the 7th August and being a local branch we would love to involve some of your members. In the original email we stated we would like to pitch the day at children aged 14+, but if any members younger than this are interested we would be happy to involve them.
I have inserted the itinerary of the day below for your perusal.
Please let me know if you think would be interested.

Success came first in the Goffs four and five year-olds maiden race, rescheduled here after the loss of other fixture to the weather. Jack rode Is This For Real […]
Due to the unfortunate abandonment of the Woodland Pytchley meeting on Easter Saturday the Midlands area now focusses on the South Notts meeting on Easter Monday at Thorpe Lodge, Newark. Thorpe Lodge is best approached using the postcode NG23 5PY or What3Words police.keen.shun. There are six scheduled races including a new Maiden race for four […]
The ground at Garthorpe dried well throughout the week leading up to the 2024 renewal of the Belvoir point-to-point at Garthorpe on Saturday 23rd March, and a big crowd of racegoers braved some icy hail showers and a typically arctic prevailing wind and partied in the bar long after racing had finished. Clerk of Course […]
