The first of our Pony Racing fixtures within the area got underway on Sunday, at the Pytchley Point-to-Point, Guilsborough. We extend our thanks to the sponsors for there generous support.

The first race was sponsored by Wellend Valley Feeds, of Market Harborough. This race was for Novice Children on bone-fide hunting and pony club type ponies.

1st – Molly Turcan on Spring
2nd – Jack Wildman on Yewtree Foxtrot
3rd – James Turner on Wharley Gamecock

The second race was sponsored by Jacaranda Carpets. This was an Open Race.

1st – Nia Kerslake – Pick Pocket
2nd – Benjamin Bromley – Live Wire
3rd – Millie Parrington – Ladies Day

All the winners were kindly given a DVD of their race courtesy of David and Barbara Jones – David Jones Media Productions.

Points for children residing in the Midlands Area will be accumulated for the Midlands Pony Racing Trophy to be awarded at the Meynell Point-to-Point. We next have Pony Racing at the Fernie Point-to-Point, and Sunday 7th April at Dingley.
