Changes to Quorn Fixture - 26th April
A new 6th Race has been added to the Quorn meeting with Entries closing on Monday at Noon.
2mile 4 furlong - Conditions Race for horses age 8 years+ (level 3 conditions) - see the fixture page on our website for more information and conditions.
The track was aerated and decompacted today and irrigation commences Saturday, but it will only be possible to appropriately irrigate the main track and not the inner line required for the Flat Race (original Race 6) and 2 x Pony Races.
Therefore the Flat Race and 2 Pony Races have been abandoned.
All fences and bends along with the associated racing line will be on the inside line which has not been raced on for a year. There is exceptional grass cover that has already been mown to encourage more growth and cover.
The Quorn Committee and Team Garthorpe are working hard to deliver safe racing ground.
