Garthorpe Racecourse requires a Clerk of the Course
After many seasons Brian Crawford has retired as Garthorpe’s Clerk.
As a result ‘Team Garthorpe’ is looking for a suitable individual to fulfil the (mainly voluntary) role of Clerk of Course. The role is responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of the race days – four scheduled in 2023 – in compliance with BHA Regulations.
There is a part-time Groundsman plus a team of dedicated volunteers to support.
Garthorpe is regarded as one of the country’s premier point-to-point courses, with well-maintained and managed ground, especially when watered, with a consistent safe racing surface even in the driest of conditions. This is complimented with well-built and regularly moved portable fences.
