Pony Racing Rallies start
Yesterday an intrepid group of potential pony racers descended on the Bealbys' yard at North Lodge for a taster session. Thomas Messenger and Antonia Bealby were on hand to teach the children how to do everything properly both on and off their ponies.
There was a brief equiciser session during which riders learned how to "bridge" reins and maintain a correct riding position and balance in the saddle, then everybody mounted up and headed off to the circular gallop to put the training into action.
