Prize fund for Brocklesby Mixed Open to Double

The prize money for the Mixed Open race at the Brocklesby meeting is to double after an additional sponsor stepped in.
The total prize fund for the race, to be held on Sunday 12th February at Brocklesby Park, will now rise to £700. The winner will receive £400, second place £200 and third place £100.
Meeting Secretary Rosemary James explained, "Singleton Birch, a quarry producing lime materials for the agriculture and construction industries, is located very close to the course and have been long standing supporters and sponsors of the meeting. Although all the meeting's races are now sponsored, I came up with this idea of offering an additional sponsorship opportunity without compromising our other sponsors."
