RICHARD FULLER TO BE APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE POINT-TO-POINT RACING COMPANY
The Point-to-Point Racing Company have announced that Richard Fuller will succeed Nick Wright as Chairman of the business from the start of 2018.
Richard has been and continues to be very active in many areas of the sport having been Chairman of the PPORA and that body's representative on the PPA
Board for five years.
Richard is currently Chairman of the two Vine and Craven Point-to-Points and is a past Chairman and Master of the same hunt.
On a more personal level Richard's daughter Page is amateur Ladies NH Champion jockey and his wife Charlotte trains their Point-to-Point horses from home. Nick Wright has been Chairman of the PTPRC for three years during which time the business has gone from strength to strength with the redevelopment of
pointtopoint.co.uk and the growth of online entries being just two areas which have hugely benefited the sport.
He commented: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chairman of the PTPRC and am obviously pleased to leave the company in good health. Richard will be a fantastic new Chairman and is well equipped to lead the business with his extensive knowledge and involvement in Point-to-Pointing. Naturally I will maintain my own involvement in the sport as an owner and trainer and wish Richard and all the PTPRC team the very best wishes for the future.”
Richard Fuller said: “I'm delighted to be appointed Chairman of the PTPRC - a company that plays such a crucial part in a sport that is close to my heart. I look forward to carrying on the excellent work of Nick Wright who I thank for the considerable progress that the PTPRC has made under his stewardship.”
